Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Reedsville, PA

About the Role:

Philips is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead second-shift production operations in Reedsville, PA. This role is responsible for supervising approximately 30 direct labor associates, including full-time and contingent operators, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is a proven people leader in manufacturing who can quickly step into the role, spend significant time on the production floor (~60%), and drive safety, performance, and operational excellence. Product and process training will be provided.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of ~30 manufacturing associates, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations

  • Spend majority of time on the production floor driving engagement, performance, and compliance

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and production specifications

  • Monitor key performance metrics including productivity, cost of non-quality, and equipment utilization

  • Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to eliminate waste and improve efficiency

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth implementation of new processes and systems

  • Review operational and financial plans to align production performance with business goals

  • Develop team capability through training, coaching, performance management, and career development

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and open communication across the shift


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum experience:

  • 2+ years with Bachelor’s degree, OR

  • 1+ year with Master’s degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, supply chain, or related field

  • Lean Leadership training or certification (preferred)

  • Prior experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment is essential


Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles and production systems

  • Experience with EHS and quality compliance

  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement expertise

  • KPI and performance management experience

  • Exposure to supply chain, process engineering, and change management

  • Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen skills
