Philips
Freelance Change Manager
Change Manager
Indirect Procurement is a global function at Philips that manages all non‑product‑related spend, covering goods and services essential for day‑to‑day business operations such as IT, Marketing, HR, Logistics, and Real Estate. The organization is accountable for the end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay process, ensuring compliant, efficient, and value‑driven purchasing. By co‑innovating with stakeholders and suppliers, Indirect Procurement strengthens Philips’ competitiveness, maximizes the impact of every euro spent, and delivers sustainable business value through excellence in execution, user experience, and governance.
To support the indirect procurement organization in it’s goals, we want to setup a holistic communication plan and approach for indirect procurement within Philips Global. Today, many of our procurement-related communications happen in response to specific initiatives, trainings, or process updates. This leads to fragmented messaging, and it is not always clear for employees where to go to understand the procurement process or what is expected from them.
Objective:
Move from initiative-driven communication to a structured awareness and enablement model, where:
Employees understand the core procurement principles (for example “No PO – No Pay”)
The right stakeholder groups know what they need to do in the process
Guidance, training, and communication are aligned and easy to find
Procurement becomes easier to navigate for employees and suppliers
The goal is to build consistent awareness and knowledge around how IP works at Philips.
Therefore we are looking for an experienced communication manager, that can:
-Create a communication plan for indirect procurement, containing overview of stakeholder, required knowledge, information, and how we communicate (trainings, mails, portal/website,)
-Based on the communication plan, create a new layout for the portal, including content management plan (Who owns what content, how to ensure it’s kept up to date)
-Create a plan to deploy the new portal and coms plan. (listing who should communicate what/how)
-Analyze monthly user feedback surveys on how they perceive our processes/systems and make recommendation on actions.
Assignment: ~2-3 days/week, running May- October. Potential extension, if plan is solid and extension is required to execute plan.
Note: It’s key that in this assignment we work towards having a consistent message towards stakeholder groups. Different stakeholder groups/team members will deliver the exact content.
Location:
Key team members are located in Netherlands (Amsterdam/Eindhoven). Scope is however global.
