Your profile:


We are looking for enthusiastic FPGA engineers who will be working globally, utilizing the power and flexibility of FPGAs and SoC platforms to implement and connect signal processing in high bandwidth streaming applications. In this role, you get the opportunity to accelerate innovation and the creation of first-of-a-kind new healthcare product that matter.


You are responsible for:


•   Designing, implementing, and testing the FPGA design according customer needs.


•   Participating in requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and release.


•   Assuring that your design complies to the requested quality norms.


•   Drawing up a personal schedule and reporting on progress in a structured way.


•   Ensuring that there is proper documentation for the developed design.

At Philips Electronic Systems & IoT, a part of Product and Systems Engineering within I&S, we are a trusted engineering solutions partner for all Philips clusters, businesses, functions, and markets.


The FPGA group is a group of highly experienced and knowledgeable engineers and serves a broad customer base in Philips with centrally managed standardized solutions. We work on FPGA designs in products ranging from IGT systems, MRI systems, patient monitoring devices and many, many more.


To fill the continuous demand of our customers, we are looking for an experienced FPGA engineer who can support us in developing and releasing new solutions to our customers.



To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:


•   A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, informatics, or equivalent.


•   Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in VHDL and/or Verilog coding.


•   Experienced in working with major FPGA vendors and their tools.


•   Proven track record in implementing high-speed design and high-speed interfaces.


•   Strong analytical skills in problem solving using system debug and functional simulation test benches.


•   Skilled in using version control, CI/CD pipelines and regression tests frameworks.


•   Experienced in writing specifications and design documentation.


•   Proven track record working in cross-functional teams.
