Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Specification: Gather, define, and author FPGA firmware requirements and test specifications based on stakeholder input and high-level design specifications.

Design & Development: Execute full-cycle FPGA design development, including IO planning, clock/reset structures, and external interfacing.

Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation of development efforts, including design plans, reviews, test procedures, and comprehensive test reports.

Verification: Lead integration and testing phases to ensure designs meet all functional and safety requirements.

Candidate Profile

You are the right fit if you possess a blend of technical expertise and collaborative spirit.

Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or an equivalent field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in VHDL and/or Verilog coding.

Industry Background: Experience in (safety) regulated industries is highly preferred (e.g., Medical Devices, Aviation, Automotive, or Gas Appliances).

Technical Skills

Tools & Platforms: Proficiency with AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, IP blocks, and Vivado design tools.

Verification: Experience with ModelSim, UVM, and System Verilog for test and verification.

Architecture: Expertise in SoC FPGA architectures (hard/soft processors) and Hardware-Software Interface (HSI) definition.

Signal Processing: Implementation of DSP functions such as DDS, NCO, DDC, and SDR.

Connectivity: Knowledge of high-speed serial links, Ethernet, RS232, and USB.

DevOps: Familiarity with Version Control, CI/CD pipelines, and regression test frameworks.
