Location: Bothell, WA
Work Model: Fully on-site (option to work remotely 1 day/week if needed; consistent on-site presence required)
Job Summary:
The Finance Business Partner plays a critical role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making for assigned business units. This role partners closely with cross-functional leaders to provide actionable financial insights, ensure alignment with corporate objectives, and support sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities:
Lead the financial planning process for assigned business units, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial targets.
Perform complex financial analyses, including profitability, margin, and ROI assessments, to support strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Operate with a high degree of independence, applying sound judgment to address complex financial and business challenges.
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by delivering strategic financial insights and recommendations that influence key decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial impact of initiatives such as product launches, market expansions, and cost optimization programs, ensuring compliance with financial principles.
Support and contribute to the monthly business review process by preparing financial reports, leading performance discussions, and identifying corrective actions.
Evaluate investment business cases (e.g., capital expenditures, R&D, marketing initiatives), ensuring assumptions are robust and aligned with strategic priorities.
Monitor financial performance through key metrics, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and partnering with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements; support audits and maintain accurate financial records.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (e.g., FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, business partnering), OR
Master’s degree: No prior experience required.
Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles (P&L, balance sheet).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Power BI.
Experience with SAP (MCP Kernel preferred; training can be provided).
Comfortable working hands-on with financial processes, reporting, and analysis.
