Your Role:

You will support internal Philips customers by ensuring our medical devices meet the highest international standards for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). As part of the Quality Lab (QLAB) at Philips Best, you play a vital role in ensuring patient and healthcare worker safety worldwide. This position is a key temporary resource supporting the Sequoia innovation program, a strategic imperative for Image Guided Therapy Systems (IGTS) in Cardiology and Radiology.

Your team:

The Quality LAB—a small, independent, and highly specialized internal laboratory. We operate under our own Quality Management System and are assessed annually by external certifying agencies. You will join a dedicated team of engineers committed to technical excellence and the "right to win" in our innovation programs.

Your are responsible for :

As an EMC Test Engineer, you will execute, analyze, and document critical hardware tests within an IEC/ISO 17025 compliant environment. Your core tasks include:

  • Planning and performing EMC tests in close cooperation with colleagues and internal customers.

  • Building and validating test setups compliant with international EMC standards, including daily performance verification measurements.

  • Interpreting complex EMC phenomena and analyzing test results against performance criteria to make definitive pass/fail compliance decisions.

  • Preparing and compiling detailed test reports according to internal requirements and international standards to serve as the basis for product certification.

  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting sophisticated measurement equipment and software. You will also manage a strict calibration regime.

  • Maintaining a high level of attention for documentation and nonconforming work and reporting issues promptly to maintain the QLAB’s integrity as a Customer Test Facility (CTF).


To succeed in this role, you’ll need following education and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Electronic Engineering or a related technical field with atleast 5 years of practical experience specifically in the field of EMC Testing in Certified Laboratory.

  • Deep understanding of international EMC standards, quality management systems, and regulatory affairs. Experienced in Documentation.

  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing) is required.

  • High level of discipline, accuracy, and quality-consciousness.

  • Willingness to work the shifted schedule of 10:30h – 19:00h to support project timelines.
