DevOps Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Specialist to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) initiatives across the PSC and IST teams. The role will contribute to software development, integration, automation, quality, and continuous improvement while working closely with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of DevOps practices, software development lifecycle, version control, automation, software quality, and CI/CD, with the ability to provide technical guidance and contribute to the delivery of reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical coach and subject matter expert for the team or assigned domain, providing guidance on DevOps practices, development standards, and technical solutions.

  • Establish and promote best practices, quality standards, and development methodologies across projects.

  • Define quality goals and development practices with the team and drive continuous improvement in software development and delivery processes.

  • Support and enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes for PSC and IST teams.

  • Integrate software components and third-party libraries into existing systems, ensuring seamless functionality and interoperability.

  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

  • Analyze and optimize application and system performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing appropriate improvements.

  • Develop and maintain software components for logging and monitoring performance data, usage, errors, and other operational metrics.

  • Enable continuous monitoring of solutions and products to improve system reliability, performance, and operational visibility.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA Engineers, Developers, and other stakeholders to define, design, develop, and deliver new features.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues of moderate complexity using appropriate tools, methodologies, and problem-solving techniques.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, DevOps practices, and industry trends and identify opportunities to improve development and delivery processes.

  • Contribute to automation, quality improvement, and standardization initiatives across the development lifecycle.

  • Ensure solutions comply with defined technical, quality, and software development standards.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.

Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in areas such as:

    • Software Development

    • Software Design and Architecture

    • Testing and Quality Assurance

    • DevOps / CI/CD

    • Or equivalent technical experience

  • Candidates with a Master's degree may be considered with no prior experience, subject to relevant technical skills and role requirements.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Experience with Version Control Systems.
