The Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for the development and improvement of processes, tools, and equipment of the manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable, and efficient production processes.

We combine the flexibility of a research lab with the rigor of a foundry. MEMS Foundry specializes in low to medium volume custom MEMS manufacturing. We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team, where your skills will play a pivotal role in unlocking insights, optimizing processes, and shaping the future of cutting-edge technology. Responsibilities:

  • Build and own infrastructure to centralize analytics data with robust, reliable data pipelines.

  • Be the owner of your workstream. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define and deliver analytics solutions.

  • Proactively contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.

  • Create a user-friendly semantic layer designed for ad hoc analysis, routine reporting, and/or data science modeling to enable end users to quickly and easily analyze the data. This includes friendly naming conventions, well-defined metrics, and optimization for performance.

  • Set up best-in-class alerting and data quality checks for proactive identification of data integrity errors.

  • Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code such as version control and testing.

  • Document new datasets and pipelines and the reasoning/story behind their structure.

  • Contribute to the team culture; includes collaborating, upskilling teammates, and knowledge sharing.



Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience working as an Analyst/Data Engineer.

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, Python, and ETL development.

  • 2+ years of experience with Big Data Technologies such as Databricks and Spark.

  • 1+ years of experience with data engineering technology such as Airflow, Redshift, Spark, and Kubernetes.

  • Advanced expertise in Data Analysis, Tableau, and SQL.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence multiple levels of the organization.

  • Previous experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry and their IT systems.

  • Proficient in statistics and exploratory data analysis.

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done and to commit to a fast-paced startup working culture.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, tailored individually for a wide variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.



Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with dbt.

  • Experience with time series forecasting, Predictive Analytics, and Machine Learning.

  • Experience with NLP and AI frameworks such as NLTK, Spacy, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

  • Functional knowledge of DevOps and DataOps.

  • Capable of working through uninformative assumptions and built biases in datasets and not stalled when data is not perfect/sparse.
