AI Solution Architect – Generative & Agentic AI (Contract)

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands

Duration: 12 months (with intent to extend)

Contract: via a Randstad company

Hours/week: 40

Salary Range: JG60 - JG70 (€4,500 - €7,000)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Shape how engineering teams work by turning AI into real impact. You will join Philips Innovation Engineering (IEN) to help teams redesign their workflows using Generative and Agentic AI. Rather than building solutions in isolation, you will work hands-on with engineers as a coach, architect, and enabler to identify high-value use cases, guide them from idea to practical application, and scale AI adoption across the organization.

You are responsible for:

  • Workflow Redesign & AI Discovery: Partnering with engineering teams to analyze current processes and run discovery workshops that translate abstract engineering challenges into practical, AI-enabled workflows.

  • Hands-on Enablement: Working side-by-side with development teams to build, test, and adopt solutions, guiding them seamlessly through the full lifecycle from Proof of Concept (PoC) to Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and early production.

  • Solution Architecture & Structuring: Defining simple, scalable implementation approaches for AI workflows, evaluating "buy-vs-build" choices for tools and models, and ensuring solutions are reusable.

  • Scaling & Knowledge Sharing: Capturing reusable patterns, code snippets, and workflows across departments, contributing directly to organizational Accelerator playbooks and demos.

  • Responsible AI & Governance: Ensuring all engineered solutions strictly apply privacy, security, and data governance rules in compliance with Philips' enterprise responsible AI principles.

  • Federated Collaboration: Operating as a central technical bridge, collaborating closely with local department AI Champions, Data & AI Engineering teams, and Group IT.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience: 8–10+ years of deep experience in software engineering, systems engineering, architecture, or digital transformation roles.

  • AI Expertise: Proven experience applying Generative AI, Agentic AI architectures, or advanced automation in real-world, complex business environments.

  • Technical Toolkit (Low-Code & Pro-Code):

    • Low-Code: Hands-on familiarity with tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio, ChatGPT Codex, or Anthropic Cowork.

    • Pro-Code: Hands-on experience structuring solutions on cloud AI platforms like Azure AI Foundry or AWS Bedrock.

  • Workflow Analysis: Strong ability to deconstruct complex engineering workflows and systematically identify where AI can measurably drive productivity and quality improvements.

  • Facilitation & Change: Exceptional stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, with a proven knack for guiding technical teams through behavioral change and tool adoption.

  • Preferred: Direct experience working within engineering-heavy ecosystems (R&D, systems engineering, or manufacturing) and navigating federated corporate frameworks.

In return, we offer you:

A front-row seat to the AI transformation of a global health-tech leader. For this assignment, you will be employed via a Randstad company, enjoying cutting-edge technical challenges within an open, multi-cultural environment that values continuous capability building and practical innovation.
