In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Turn AI prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will join Philips Innovation Engineering (IEN) as an Agentic AI Engineer to operationalize Generative and Agentic AI inside real engineering workflows. Working alongside AI Solution Architects, you will act as a hands-on technical partner to make complex engineering data AI-ready, build reliable system integrations, and productize high-impact MVPs embedded into daily work.
You are responsible for:
Data Readiness for AI: Assisting engineering teams in curating, structuring, and formatting data for storage in appropriate databases and knowledge bases, resolving data gaps to make foundational assets AI-ready.
Systems Integration: Designing and executing robust data integrations using APIs and MCPs (Model Context Protocols) to connect advanced AI solutions seamlessly with enterprise engineering tools.
Co-Creation & Enablement: Working side-by-side with local engineering teams to deploy, adopt, and migrate solutions from initial prototype into business-as-usual daily usage.
Productization & Scaling: Converting fragile MVPs into enterprise-grade, highly reliable, and reusable components that can be packaged and scaled across the broader IEN organization.
Operational Excellence (AgentOps): Applying cutting-edge AgentOps practices to continuously monitor, evaluate, and optimize agentic workflows for performance, observability, and cloud cost-efficiency.
Responsible AI Implementation: Ensuring all technical deployments comply with Philips enterprise security, privacy, and responsible AI governance frameworks.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Experience: Strong background in software development, data engineering, systems integration, or building data-driven systems.
Software Engineering: Solid programming experience in Python for creating automations, backend integrations, and data microservices.
AI Productization: Proven track record of taking AI models or automated workflows out of a sandbox prototype environment and successfully shipping them to production.
Technical Toolkit (Low-Code & Pro-Code): * Low-Code: Exposure to tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio, ChatGPT Codex, or Anthropic Cowork.
Pro-Code: Familiarity with orchestrating pipelines on cloud AI platforms like Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or similar frameworks.
Integration Skills: Hands-on experience building API pipelines, connecting disparate technical environments, and managing databases.
Preferred: Familiarity with AgentOps, monitoring/observability tooling, enterprise AI governance, or working within engineering-heavy R&D ecosystems.
In return, we offer you:
The unique opportunity to build the actual infrastructure driving Philips' AI transformation. Based at our high-tech campus ecosystem in Eindhoven, you will work within a federated model alongside local AI Champions, enjoying complex technical challenges that make you a highly sought-after professional in the Agentic AI space.
