General intro to M&CC Design team

Specific support
To support ongoing and new LCM projects as well as running projects fitting into VPC, AD and PDLM design support pipeline for M&CC

Area of responsibility:
-  Product and service design projects delivery within M&CC program (AD/PDLM projects and Life Cycle Management projects)

Core tasks:
  Defines the project scope and forms a Project Management Plan, including scheduling, resource requirements, purchasing.
  Ensures a Design briefing/ debriefing is in place and agreed with Design Business Partner, Program Lead and Creative lead
  Initiates a project scoping definition with all stakeholders involved, creating clear project proposals & approaches incl. deliverables and milestones - securing a project charter as a result
  Activates projects for execution, from kick-off till design freeze and completion, incl. creative reviews with all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that conditions are in place to deliver accordingly:
  Project team (resources & roles) and project review platforms
  Project registration using internal project management tools, creating internal job numbers and assigning team members for timewriting.
  Identifying and securing resources (in-sourcing & out-sourcing), incl. close cooperation with procurement (PO creation, tracking, purchasing process)
  Defining project quality requirements
  Gains commitment of the project team (including DL) to the project management plan at project start.
  Manages the Project Lifecycle during creation and execution of the project.
  Monitors, controls and reports ensuring corrective actions are taken when required. Escalates changes to PGM when a change impacts overall category program or budget.
  Reports regularly on progress to key stakeholders – DBP, PGM, IPL (I&D PL), CMM.
  Throughout the Project Lifecycle, secures required documentation and approvals (e.g. from CMM, CDL, F&A) in line with defined business processes and thresholds.
  Project Team & stakeholder management
  Ensures correct time and cost registration of project activities (time writing, POs, supplier invoices)
  Secures handover of deliverables.
  Ensures relevant project data is archived according to defined protocol.
  Ensures internal projects are closed in a timely manner (once all costs are registered)
  Ensures (internal) project team secures project learnings and agreed future improvements through project evaluations.


Competencies, skills, and experience:
-  Close cooperation with team members from different locations (AMS, US, SHG), making
-  Structure the design process
-  Understanding the IP&S design filings/approval process
-  Liaise with Creative leads and manage Sr level stake holder expectations
-  Structure and schedule additional ad-hoc design requests from Marketing and I&D teams
-  Previous experience with Philips Design (and M&CC if possible)
